Commerce
One Practice and was looking for Commerce One professionals to break
into the eBusiness Market. My
time at Deloitte was very exciting, but the economy took a nosedive,
and the B2B bubble bursted. The
Commerce One stock fell from $200 to below $1 (I still have lots of
CMRC stock, so I hope it goes back up some day!).
Clients started shutting down eBusiness initiatives and pulled
the plug on e-consultants. It
was a complete paradigm shift for me, and a time to realign my skill
set to match what the industry (in recession) was looking for. It
was time to take off the Commerce One hat and leverage my eBusiness
experience with viable trends in the industry.
What brought
you to Xorbix
Technologies and what you
do here?
I have been with Xorbix since
July 2001, and my decision to come aboard was almost a no-brainer.
I had known the president of the company for the past 5 years
and have always been inspired by him. I came to know that he was looking
for IT professionals to help launch his company's flagship eBusiness
product, Ioxphere.
I wanted to get involved in an entrepreneurial venture for
a long time and this was my chance.
I got in touch with him and it was an instant click.
I am now working here as the Software Engineer/Product Specialist.
Day-to-day activities include design, analysis, development,
proposal writing, demoing Ioxphere to perspective clients, and supporting
existing clients.
What has been
the biggest challenge in the development
of Ioxphere?
The launch of Ioxphere was
very exciting and challenging, as we worked day and night (literally)
to launch it on time (well...almost
on time).
