Xorbix will introduce Web-based data-mining application
Milwaukee-based
Xorbix Technologies has developed
a new, Internet-based application that will enable organizations of
any size to build a customized suite of data-mining tools. Called Ioxphere,
the product will officially launch in June.
Ioxphere
will allow users to easily create online forms for surveys, inquiries,
feedback, registration, subscriptions, rebates, applications, help requests,
checklists and more, according to Asif Bakar, president of Xorbix.
The forms may then be published to the user's Web site or intranet.
Unlike competitive products, Ioxphere does not require the user to purchase
or download any software. Instead,
customers may subscribe to the online service for any length of time.
Since all work is performed via the Internet, its only technical
requirement is a Web browser.
Once users gather the information from the survey or inquiry,
they have a fully outsourced customer-centric database.
"Customer feedback is valuable to any type of business," said
Bakar. "Ioxphere provides a set of tools to help increase customer
satisfaction, improve business operations and increase marketing results."
Bakar said that Ioxphere is intended to save its customers the costs
involved with programming fees traditionally associated with building
surveys and forms into a Web site.
"Ioxphere's form wizard does not require the subscriber
to know HTML or XML coding," continued Bakar, "thus eliminating
the need to pay a computer programmer to accomplish the same thing."
Subscribers begin creating a form by entering text for the questions
or information fields. Ioxphere's form wizard allows for an unlimited
number of questions and answers.
